Todd Janssen

Todd Janssen

Todd Janssen recently moved to Portland with his wife and two dogs and is enjoying his new home. He ran his first marathon when he was 16 and ran his first 50-miler at Mt. Hood in 2009. Always avoiding having to run fast, he has focused on longer races, including multi-day adventure races, and plans to complete his first 100-mile mountain bike and trail races in 2010! His goal for Hagg Lake is to create a runner-focused event that provides friendly competition, good camaraderie and a reason to want to come back again next year.

Kelly Johnson

Kelly JohnsonKelly Johnson of Beaverton has run the Hagg Lake 25k twice, and is now looking forward to being part of the team that will put on this wonderfully muddy trail run. Johnson writes and manages the RunOregon blog (link to blog.oregonlive.com/runoregon), served on the Team Red Lizard board for three years, and is a member of the Portland Marathon Committee. Kelly is also co-director of the CATnip Friday 5K, which will be held on August 13, 2010. "My goal is to make this race competitive and rewarding for all participants."

Fuzz McPherson

Fuzz McPhersonFuzz McPherson has raced road bikes and did an adventure race in 2002 in which his team achieved a podium finish out of over 40 teams. After that he wanted to enter into more extreme events but putting a team together was tough, so he started doing ultras. In 2008 he did his first trail run (Hagg 25k), first marathon (SunTrust National Marathon in DC), first 50+k (Peterson), first 50M (Mt. Hood) and first 100M (Lean Horse) all in one year. When he signed up for Mother Road 100M last year when his blisters still hadn't healed from Lean Horse he knew he was hooked.
